2008 Meritus Teams

Formula BMW Asia Formula V6 Asia

Meritus are now celebrating their 11th year in Asian motorsport. We believe that there is huge expansion potential in the region and we have expanded our operations to include the Middle East and New Zealand as well as Southeast Asia. With our new business development in the Middle East and China, Meritus has for more than ten years been the number one formula motorsport team operator in these specific markets.

Meritus started its operations in Asia in 1996 with a two-car team in the Asian Formula 2000 (AF2000) series wining it for the first time with Narain Karthikeyan in 1996, followed by wins in 97, 99 and 2000. We entered the Formula Renault Asia series and won the premier event at the Macau GP. Meritus have operated Formula BMW Asia since 2003 running three 2-car teams in the series since their inaugural year. Meritus won the Formula BMW championship in 2003, 2004 and 2005.

In 2005 Meritus expanded into the New Zealand Formula Toyota series winning the New Zealand Grand Prix. For 2006 Meritus will further expand our operations in New Zealand into a 2-car team.

In 2006 Meritus entered the new Formula V6 Asia championship and as and of Rd 4 Meritus is leading both the Driver and Team Championships. We have aspirations to move into higher echelons of the sport and are currently researching the potential for a first step entry into the world motorsport market via the A1GP championship.

Meritus is already offering a total package for its drivers with 140bhp BMW as well as the 220bhp Formula Toyota teams currently in place. Meritus has raced in the 250bhp Formula 3 series finishing 18th in Macau and we are still considering an entry into the Asian F3 series in the near future. With the 370bhp V6 we hope to be able to offer drivers all the power steps from Karting to A1GP.

Meritus motto "Creating International Motorsport Heros" and we offer our motorsport race engineering services in Saudi, Bahrain, Qutar, Dubai, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Philippines and Hong Kong.
